It has been a full season at Hollaway, and we wanted to share what’s new with the team behind your projects. We are welcoming five new members of the crew across our Houston and San Antonio offices, celebrating three well-earned promotions, and sharing five industry honors that put our work on a national and international stage. As Hollaway continues to grow, we’re working just as intentionally on the kind of company we’re becoming as we are on the projects we deliver. Here is the latest!
We refreshed our core values, mission, and vision to reflect who we are today — and where we aspire to go. It is the thread running through every project we take on for you.
OUR MISSION — WHY WE EXIST
“We have fun providing expert problem-solving and consulting services to improve and protect our environment and communities — and we create a workplace where we grow professionally, live fully, and do meaningful work.”
What this means:
+ We’ve got each other’s backs.
+ We have fun — and we bring the fun.
OUR VISION — WHERE WE ARE GOING
“To achieve the impossible by proving that profitability and care for each other, our clients, and our communities CAN coexist.”
OUR COMMITMENT
01 Exceptional client service and exceptional culture strengthen one another.
02 Financial success creates opportunities to invest in our people and our future.
03 Doing the right thing is good for our clients, communities, business, and ourselves.
OUR CORE VALUES — IDEAS SQUARED
Five values, each pulling double duty. That second word is the part we are holding ourselves to.
Five new faces have joined the team — each one bringing something we needed and someone we are glad to have. Please join us in welcoming the newest members of the Hollaway crew!
Courtney Strzelczyk
Senior Communications + Public Involvement Coordinator II
Courtney joins with more than eight years of experience in strategic communications, public involvement, stakeholder outreach, and project management. She helps move complex projects forward through outreach strategies, public-facing materials, and engagement that keeps communities informed and involved. Before Hollaway, she consulted for the U.S. Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center (AFIMSC) Public Affairs office, supporting communications for environmental restoration, infrastructure, and mission support work.
Melanie Joseph
Senior Communications + Public Involvement Coordinator II
Melanie joins with extensive experience in public relations, strategic communications, and public engagement. A graduate of the University of Houston, Melanie brings a strong foundation in customer service that has shaped her collaborative, client-focused approach throughout her career. Her PR background includes supporting the development of strategic messaging, fostering meaningful stakeholder relationships, and creating communications that build trust, strengthen community engagement, and advance organizational objectives. She supports our teams across a wide range of projects with strategic planning, account management, and the kind of clear communication that helps clients and communities reach their goals.
Travis Lay
Senior Environmental Scientist II — Houston
With nearly ten years of experience across environmental consulting, government response, and offshore energy, Travis adds a practical, field-tested perspective to Hollaway’s environmental team. His background in regulatory compliance and safety-critical offshore operations helps clients navigate complex infrastructure and energy projects with confidence.
Will Chapin
Senior Environmental Scientist II — San Antonio
Will joined Hollaway with eight years of experience supporting infrastructure projects through environmental planning, grant-writing, and regulatory compliance. Based in our San Antonio office, he works alongside clients to navigate NEPA, TxDOT environmental documentation, and grant-funded project requirements, helping turn complex processes into clear paths forward.
Tyler Henk
Environmental Scientist — Houston
Tyler has more than three years of environmental consulting experience supporting a wide range of infrastructure, transportation, and energy projects throughout Texas. His expertise includes U.S. Army Corps of Engineers jurisdictional wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species habitat assessments and construction monitoring, post-construction fatality monitoring, and environmental field investigations. His diverse field experience and strong understanding of environmental regulations enable him to support project teams in identifying environmental constraints, maintaining regulatory compliance, and advancing projects from planning through construction.
Amiah Williams
Promoted to Senior Communications + Public Involvement Coordinator
Since joining the crew, Amiah has brought strategic thinking and steady storytelling to our communications practice, supporting visible public involvement projects with the kind of critical thinking and follow-through that clients remember. The “Senior” title catches up to what she has already been doing — leading.
Carmín Romero
Promoted to Environmental Scientist
Carmín brings range across Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, wetland delineations, and threatened and endangered species work that has made her a dependable presence on the environmental team — and that range, paired with her background in environmental science, data analysis, and air emission testing, is exactly what has earned her this next step.
Chelseia Blair
Promoted to Communications + Public Involvement Coordinator
In her own words, Hollaway means community — a place where “no idea is a bad idea” and there is always someone to help carry the load. That spirit is exactly what she brings to the team every day, and it is a big part of why this next step is so well earned.
The Hollaway Creative Services team earned four Hermes Creative Awards — a Gold and three Honorable Mentions — in the 2026 international program that recognizes the concept, writing, and design behind the best creative work today. Here is what the crew brought home:
GOLD | Publication Design
Texas Port Mission Plan — produced for the TxDOT Maritime Division, 89th Legislative Session.
HONORABLE MENTION | Data Visualization
Data Visualization Suite — turning maritime policy into clear, usable visuals for TxDOT Maritime Division.
HONORABLE MENTION | Brand Identity
Gulf Coast Protection District — Brand Identity System (full identity).
HONORABLE MENTION | Logo Design
Gulf Coast Protection District — Brand Identity System (logo design).
From a legislative publication to a full brand identity system, these honors show the range the crew brings every day — strategy, design, and data storytelling under one roof.
A Communicator Award for the SAFER Study
The recognition did not stop there. Hollaway also earned a Communicator Award for its public involvement work on the Harris County Flood Control District Section 203 SAFER Study — Solutions for Advancing Floodplain Evaluation and Resilience. Over a six-month scoping engagement across 11 watersheds, our team delivered a multilingual, accessible outreach program in four languages — English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Vietnamese — reaching 3,787 stakeholders and routing 141 substantive comments back into the study.
It is recognition for exactly the kind of work Hollaway was built to do: pairing environmental and communications expertise to help communities take part in the decisions that affect them.

New faces, new leadership, and industry recognition — all in one season. It is a good snapshot of where Hollaway is going, and it is the crew that gets us there. Thank you for being part of it.
